The history of PALAVANI wines starts from the beginning of XVIII century. In 1743 Irakli II, the king of Kartl-Kakheti, abolished Aragvi duchy and prince Bejan Eristavi was settled in Kistauri village. He has revived the devastated village and since 1780 his wine cellars have become popular in Kakheti.
